On August 29, 1782, the Shenandoah County Court certified that Ann Muhlenberg had sold 70 gallons of brandy to the Patriot cause during the American Revolution. This product may have been produced at her home in Woodstock or at the Glebe Farm (now the Shenandoah County Farm), which she and her family utilized because of her husband's position as local minister. Her husband was Peter Muhlenberg.
